The Michelin Guide's review
Designed in 1946 by André Morisseau and Louis Simon, this circular market hall is covered by a thin corrugated concrete dome (only 10cm thick for a diameter of 52.4m). The dome is upheld by thirteen fixture points on the ground. This revolutionary technique was first developed by engineers Bernard Lafaille and René Sarger.
