The Michelin Guide's review
The strange and peaceful site of the Saint-Maclou aître (atrium) is most unusual. The 16C group of buildings, the remains of a mass grave of plague victims from the Middle Ages, is depicted by a courtyard lined by four half-timbered galleries whose carved panels portray funereal details: macabre dance, a frieze decorated with skulls and leg bones etc.
