The Michelin Guide's review
Opposite the Dutch Institute of Architecture, this villa dating from 1933 was built by architect Leen van der Vlugt for A H Sonneveld, manager of the Van Nelle works, who lived here with his family until 1955. The geometric shapes of the building are typical of the Nieuwe Bouwen architectural movement of the 1920s to 1940s which was characterised by a plain, sober style.
