This museum created in 1874 amply illustrates Holland's seafaring tradition and its rich collections chronicle some 600 years of maritime adventure. Since 2016, the collections have been enlarged with the old vessels of the former Havenmuseum (open-air maritime museum), moored next-door. You will see many scale models, notably of Holland America Line (HAL) ships, and the treasures of the Koninklijke Nedlloyd collection
