The Michelin Guide's review
A rich suburb of Menton, the Cap Martin peninsula has retained the charm of its turn-of-the-20C elegance, with opulent villas hidden by a luxuriant vegetation. It is served by roads which cut through fragrant pinewoods and banks of mimosa. One of these overlooks Le Corbusier's Cabanon, built in 1952. The coastal path (4hr on foot there and back) commands lovely views of the coastline, but it is the peninsula's east coast which boasts the best view of Menton in its mountain setting and of the Italian coast.
