The Michelin Guide's review
This 110-room, 8 200 m2 manor house located on the east campus of Oakland University was completed in 1929 for Matilda Dodge, widow of automotive giant John Dodge, and her second husband, Alfred G. Wilson. The exterior presents a Tudor Revival-style and the interior a distinctly Gothic feel. The sumptuous residence is equipped with everything money could buy, from a cinema room (on the basement level) to a lift. The wood panelling is particularly remarkable.
