Built against the cliff, St Sauveur basilica of Rocamadour is both Romanesque and Gothic (11C-13C). Inside is a 19C wooden mezzanine, built to accommodate a large number of pilgrims. A 16C wooden polychrome Christ adorns the left-hand wall of the nave.
