The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Maison Lamontagne is a rare example of half-timbering masonry in North America to have survived, as the French settlers soon discovered that this type of construction was sorely unsuited to the harsh Canadian climate. Occupied up until 1959, the house was restored in 1981. Displays inside chart the development of Quebec domestic architecture and re-create rural life in the province in the 18C.
