The Michelin Guide's review
La Cerdanya plain extends its pleasant landscapes right in the middle of the Pyrenees, more than 1 200m above sea level. Wherever you arrive from, the appearance of this large valley gives you an intense feeling of space. Born from the meanders of history, the Spanish enclave of Llívia, in French territory, is an unusual heritage of the Treaty of the Pyrenees (1659), which divided the region between the two countries. A few kilometres away, Puigcerdà, capital of La Cerdanya, is a pleasant resort.
