The Michelin Guide's review
The old town surrounding the cathedral still has its town hall (Det Gamle Rådhus); dating from 1496, it is one of the oldest in Denmark. In Skolegade is the house where Hans Tausen, a Reformer considered to be the Danish Luther, spent the last years of his life. On Torvet, the main square, there is a small early-17C inn (Weis Stue) with a charming interior. Apart from the cathedral, Skt Catharinæ Kirke is the only church in Ribe to have been built before the Reformation.
