The Michelin Guide's review
Between 1736 and 1740, Rheinsberg Palace on the banks of Lake Grienericksee was the residence of Frederick the Great. It also provided the setting for one of the love stories penned by novelist Kurt Tucholsky, to whom a museum on the site is dedicated. A visit takes the traveller back in time to the 18C thanks to restoration work, period furnishings and art. Be sure to tour the grounds, laid out according to plans by Knobelsdorff and Johann Samuel Sello.
