The Michelin Guide's review
The Arians were the followers of an Alexandrian priest, Arius, who denied the divinity of Christ, a theory widely condemned by the successive councils of Nicaea (325). This did not prevent the Goths from following it for several centuries. The baptistery was built in the 6C, almost certainly under Theodoric and has a dome decorated with attractive mosaics.
