The Michelin Guide's review
The impressive fortress of Rappottenstein, named after its founder Rapoto von Kuenring, seems impregnable, with its complex fortifications on a rock overlooking the Kleine Kamp valley. The core of the castle is Romanesque, to which Gothic and Renaissance structures were added. The archive room and great hall are adorned with outstanding 16C frescoes of scenes from bourgeois and Court life.
