The Michelin Guide's review
Of the former 14C château, modified over the centuries, only the sturdy tower in which François I died remains standing. It was further reduced in size by Napoleon I, who knocked down its left wing. Most of the façades date from the 19C. On the interior, don't miss the beautiful rocaille wood panelling in the "Assembly apartments", as well as Napoleon's bathroom, with its "Pompeian" frescoes.
