The Michelin Guide's review
Originally consecrated in 1674, the cathedral was destroyed during the fighting between French and British forces in 1759. The church was reconstructed between 1768 and 1771 by Quebec's most prominent architects, the Baillairgé family. Although the structure was destroyed by fire in 1922, it was rebuilt to reflect its original appearance. Of note in the interior are the stained-glass windows, the baldachin and the Casavant organ.
