The Michelin Guide's review
This charming, bustling street is home to a variety of restaurants and boutiques. It also features some of the city's oldest architectural gems. The Maison Maillou (Maillou House) (1736), located next to the Château Frontenac, now houses the Quebec City Chamber of Commerce. The offices of the Consulate General of France occupy the adjacent house, the Maison Kent (Kent House), dating from the 1830s. Standing at the corner of Rue des Jardins, the Maison Jacquet (Jacquet House) was built in 1674. Reputedly the oldest house in Quebec City, it is occupied today by a restaurant specializing in traditional Quebec cuisine.
