Centro de Interpretación Natütama
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This centre is run by Natütama, an NGO that works with local communities to protect the wildlife and habitats of the Amazon. A series of 70 life-size sculptures on wood gives an idea of the Amazon's aquatic creatures: river dolphins, manatees, otters, tortoises, pirarucu (the world's largest freshwater fish) are represented swimming between the trees of the tropical forest, which is flooded during high water season.
