The Michelin Guide's review
This impressive 12C keep, flanked by four towers, is the town's landmark. The surround encircling the base was added by the English during the Hundred Years' War (hence its name, "Pâté aux Anglais"). Fine view from the gallery around the keep over the town centre and the Briard countryside. One level up, the bells of St Quiriace mourn the demise of their bell tower. An attractive audiovisual presentation explores the life of Henri I the Liberal during Provins' heyday.
