The Michelin Guide's review
Begun on the walls of Candi Shiva, the epic Ramayana story continues on the outer wall of Candi Brahma. The statue of this god, to whom temples are rarely dedicated in India, occupies the sanctuary's only chamber; it is also the case of the statue of Vishnu in the twin temple, Candi Vishnu, home to lavish bas-reliefs narrating the life of Krishna, an incarnation of the god. Note the statue of the sacred buffalo of Shiva in Candi Nandi, one of the three vehicle temples.
