The Michelin Guide's review
Designed partly by Peter Joseph Lenné, Prussia's most talented landscape gardener, Sanssouci Park covers nearly 300ha and features several hundred species of trees. The various palaces and buildings were constructed between 1744 and 1860. A World Heritage Site since 1990, this combination of landscape and architecture is without a doubt one of the most successful of its kind in Germany. Among the series of little gardens, don't miss the Sicilian garden laid out in Renaissance style.
