Calanche de Piana

The Michelin Guide's review
These astonishing granite sculptures formed by erosion overlook the Gulf of Porto, creating a chaotic landscape with an unusual and unique appearance. The deep blue of the sea and the often unreal light that bathes this coastline combine with the palette of oranges and pinks of the granite to create a sight of unquestionable beauty. The Calanche are best seen by boat in the late afternoon. If you're exploring the area by car, we recommend that you travel in the direction Piana/Porto.
