The Michelin Guide's review
The 922,000-acre Olympic National Park is an International Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site. The park is noted for its natural beauty and remarkable variety of its three eco-systems - a range of glaciated peaks, a temperate rain forest, and a primitive coastal habitat. Over 300 species of birds and 70 species of mammals live in the park, including around 5 000 Roosevelt elk - the largest herd of its kind in the world.
