The beautiful gardens of Compton Acres occupy over 6ha in a rift in the sandstone cliffs. They include rock, Italian, water and Japanese gardens. Beautiful sunsets can be admired from the English Garden, and there is a splendid westerly view of Poole harbour, Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills.
