The Michelin Guide's review
This large patrician house is richly decorated with paintings (4th Pompeian style) and mosaics, and had its own baths. The house belonged to a member of the family of Nero's wife Poppaea. Note the superb peristyle with Doric columns covered in stucco, between which there is a low wall decorated with plants and animals.
