Imaret Mosque
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Erected in 1445, the Imaret Mosque boasts an elegant minaret decorated with zigzag mouldings and a well-maintained pleasant garden. It features a square-plan design, is surmounted by a dome and its façade is enhanced by an imposing portico. The interior looks fine with its large central cupola, resting on tambours featuring stalactites, and its traces of frescoes. Note the Koranic school (to the right of the entrance) and the fountain intended for ablutions, located in the centre of the sanctuary.
