The Michelin Guide's review
Built from 1602 to 1604 after the plague epidemic of 1598, the overall impression is harmonious despite the frozen features of its 180 carved figures. Set around the huge double cross, the statues are adorned with either an angel or a devil. An altar has been dug into the massive platform beneath a portico on which is a statue of Jesus. The granite and concrete church is depicted by blue, green, orange and purple shades.
