The Michelin Guide's review
The Venus de Milo made the name of Milos, the island posted at the southwest of the Cyclades, a familiar one. As well as a very busy port and old, immaculate white villages, Milos has unusual geological formations, due to its volcanic origins. After this quick overview, a few suggestions for activities here: a boat tour of the island, sea kayaking to get closer to the sea caves and rocky creeks, swimming at the many fine-sand beaches, and an evening in Plaka, the attractive capital.
