The Michelin Guide's review
Hancock Shaker Village, an active Shaker community between 1790 and 1960, is today a museum village that relates the history of this community, which has now practically died out. Some 1,200 acres of farmland, meadow and woodland and more than 20 period buildings can be seen here. More than 10,000 exhibits retrace the daily life of the Shakers, while guided tours and demonstrations take place throughout the day.
