This massive renovated warehouse (1898) with its vaulted brick ceilings, heavy wooden beams and iron braces opened as the history centre in 1996. Illustrating the history of western Pennsylvania through artefacts, photographs, films, models and theatre, the centre's excellent permanent exhibition also looks at medicine, education and robotics. The centre also houses the Western Pennsylvanian Sports Museum.
