Pitmedden Garden
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The magnificent formal garden at Pitmedden is a rare jewel at this latitude. It is at its best in summer, when the annuals are in bloom. Visitors can admire the neatly clipped yews, trim boxwood hedges, manicured lawns, flowerbeds, herb garden, geometric designs and a central fountain. There is a walled garden on two levels. The belvedere provides the best viewing point. Nearby is an estate containing some rare breeds of livestock and endangered species.
