The Michelin Guide's review
The lightly curved long façade of this palazzo is decorated with graffiti of grotesque images and foliage. On the upper floors, a frieze of niches houses the busts of six Medicis who were the Grand Dukes of Tuscany (their escutcheon decorated with six balls can be seen in several places), while a statue of Cosimo I stands in front of the steps. The palazzo has been home to the prestigious Scuola Normale Superiore since Napoleonic times.
