The Michelin Guide's review
A superb mountainside road affords views over the Porto Gulf and the Capo Rosso. As it descends towards the sea, the fine sands first appear, surrounded by pink rocks and scrubland lying against a mountainous backdrop. Near Arone's beautiful beach, a monument serves as a reminder that it is here that the Casabianca submarine delivered the first arms to the resistance on the 6 February 1943, thereby facilitating the birth of the Corsican underground movement.
