The Michelin Guide's review
Piacenza Cathedral is a remarkable example of the Romanesque Lombardy style. Its facade has a rose window and handsome doorways of Gothic inspiration. Inside, in 1625 Guercino finished the sibyls and prophets begun by Morazzone (1573-1626) on the cupola. A hundred Romanesque columns uphold the crypt where the relics of Saint Justine are conserved.
