Founded in 1929 by Dwight B. and Maie Bartlett Heard to house their collection of native American art, this large hacienda-style museum contains some 32 000 works that are representative of the cultural wealth of the country's native American tribes. Here, you will also discover Arizona's three geographic and climate zones as well as the history of the way of life of the tribes present here: the Hohokam, Pai, Apache, Hopi etc. A presentation includes commentary by contemporary native Americans.
