The Michelin Guide's review
Five thousand slabs of silver carpet the floor of the Silver Pagoda, built within the Royal Palace. The edifice, initially intended for the Emerald Buddha, houses Buddha statues (crystal, gold, diamond...). Funeral stupas where the royal ashes are conserved grace the forecourt. The walls of the cloister feature frescoes illustrating the Reamker, a sort of Khmer Ramayana (1903), of which it is the most complete version in the country.
