The Michelin Guide's review
You will be enchanted by the mirror effect of the glazed walls behind which are displayed the remains of a wealthy Gallo-Roman house (4,000m2). Jean Nouvel designed the museum in a bid to preserve the site and enhance its heritage. A scale model at the entrance reveals the extent of the city of Vesunna in the 2C and allows you to situate the residence (the 1C domus was greatly extended in the middle of the 2C). The complex is enhanced by splendid murals, objects from everyday life, jewellery and a stone collection, etc.
