The Michelin Guide's review
Built in 1908 as the City Hall, this substantial Renaissance Revival building features a triple-arched entrance, four towers and a series of arcades. It is now a museum which boasts a grab-bag of Florida arcana, including mounted animals, antlers, old radios and Coke vending machines. On the plaza behind the museum, you can trace the Colonial Archaeological Trail dig, that has unearthed evidence of Spanish, British and American forts built between 1752 and 1821.
