On a pleasant site above Penetang harbour, Discovery Harbour is a replica of a military garrison established here after the War of 1812. In the garrison, which existed from 1817 to 1834, guides bring the warehouse and dockyard back to life. At the wharf are replicas of three 19C schooners. The original officers' quarters of the garrison stationed here from 1828 to 1856 can be visited.
