The Michelin Guide's review
The Archaeological Museum of Pella brings together the artefacts excavated on the site, notably astonishing mosaic pavements (4C-3C BC): Dionysos astride a panther or a lion hunt during which Alexander the Great is aided by his companion Craterus. Among the other objects, note the marble dog found in a tomb, a head of Alexander, a small bronze statue of Poseidon and pretty terracotta pieces.
