The Michelin Guide's review
The basilica stands on 11C foundations over a crypt dating from the same period, and is flanked by four corner towers. After being converted into a mosque by the Turks, and changing greatly over the ages, it took on its present appearance in the late 19C. The crypt and the chapels beneath each of the towers are the most interesting parts to see, along with the frescoes and paintings, mainly by Hungarian artists including Bertalan Székely and Károly Lotz.
