The Michelin Guide's review
The original Flamboyant Gothic edifice was destroyed by fire in the 17C, except for the east chancel and transept. At the time of its reconstruction, the cathedral was transformed into a Baroque church. The interior is overloaded with frescoes and stuccowork. Four of the side altars were made into chapels. They contain paintings by the Austrian JM Rottmayr. Also note the organ, which is thought to be the largest in the world.
