The Michelin Guide's review
Home to a number of species of exotic trees, this park was created by Haussmann at the request of Napoleon III. With its varied landscapes and topography, it provides a pleasant setting for a stroll. The water from a steep waterfall, fed by the waters of the Canal St-Martin, descends into a large cave, from where it continues along a stream to the lake, a paradise for birdlife. A belvedere crowning a rocky islet affords uninterrupted views of Montmartre and St-Denis.
