The Michelin Guide's review
Running between Place de la Concorde and the Rond-Point, this famous avenue is lined by English-style gardens and beautiful paths shaded by chestnut trees. The gardens are home to the Espace Cardin, the Théâtre Marigny (Garnier, 1853) and Théâtre du Rond-Point, and four monuments linked to the World Wars: a statue of Clémenceau, a monument to Jean Moulin (corner of Avenue Marigny), and statues of Sir Winston Churchill (corner of Cours de la Reine) and General de Gaulle.
