The Michelin Guide's review
Built by Lemercier from 1635-42 in Jesuit style, the innovative design of the façade incorporated two superimposed orders instead of three, in so doing lightening the imposing proportions of the rest of the building. Inside, note the tomb of Cardinal Richelieu, sculpted by Girardon (1694), as well as the pendentives, painted by Philippe de Champaigne.
