The Michelin Guide's review
Linking Rue Dussoubs to Rue St-Denis, this gallery opened in 1825 was restored to its identical former glory in the 1990s. The floor is marble, the footbridges are wrought iron and the glass roof is some 12m high, making it the most luminous of the capital. It was built on the spot of the Grand-Cerf hostelry, from where royal messages left bound for eastern France. Today's modern boutiques have adapted to the old-fashioned wooden shop windows.
