The Michelin Guide's review
This palace now accommodates the Ministry of Culture and the Council of State. The courtyard is fronted by an imposing central façade surmounted by allegorical statues, and two wings lined by galleries. Between the courtyard and the garden, a double colonnade built during the Restoration period forms the Orléans gallery. Note also the 260 black and white columns of unequal height, a work by Daniel Buren (1986). The two sculpture-fountains (1985) are by the Belgian Pol Bury.
