The Michelin Guide's review
This imposing wooden house, painted white and located on a hilltop overlooking Lake Nordås, was the home of Edvard Grieg (1843-1907). The idyllic setting and plethora of souvenirs it contains come together to make Troldhaugen one of the most visited places in Norway - Grieg was a great success in the eyes both of the public and his peers, such as Ravel and Bartók. The hut he had built to work in still houses his desk, upright piano and rocking chair.
