The Tusi's House
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This opulent residence was built in 1922 to house the tusi (local official) Bai Zhaoxiong. Built on a hillside, the house boasts superb views and has a series of porticoes and square courtyards which end in a flight of period stone steps leading down to the village. The whole complex is magnificent, with its marble floors and elegant furniture. Panels in Chinese pay tribute to these powerful men who held office in the region.
