The Michelin Guide's review
The generic name of Indian Canyons (the Cahuilla Indians lived here until the end of the 19C) refers to three beautiful canyons boasting close to 62mi/100km of hiking trails. Palm Canyon, which extends for 15mi/25km, is home to a palm grove of desert fan palms, while Andreas Canyon, a lush oasis boasting more than 150 different plant species, is very popular with hikers. The less-visited Murray Canyon is renowned for its unspoilt natural landscapes and wildlife.
