The Michelin Guide's review
The third incarnation of Henry Flagler's famous hotel (the first two, constructed of wood, were destroyed by fire) cost $6 million and took over 1,200 craftsmen close to a year to build. The lobby of the current luxury establishment runs the entire 200ft length of the central section with a 16ft-high vaulted ceiling. The Florentine Dining Room is adorned with a domed ceiling painted with frescoes and Italian pastoral scenes. This first-class hotel has no lack of modern fixtures and fittings.
